Eastwood Village Amenities

Eastwood Village has a professionally maintained 25 foot by 50 foot in-ground pool. The pool is open from April 15 to October 15, and may be used from dawn to dusk. This is a popular informal meeting place for residents in the afternoons.

Residents may bring a limited number of guests with them to enjoy a swim. From time-to-time there have been organized water aerobics sessions for EV residents. Bathrooms and an outdoor shower area are conveniently located.

Eastwood Village has two tennis courts.

One court is nearly always available for enjoyment without waiting.

Residents use registered keys to access the tennis courts, the swimming pool and the bathrooms. (A key for the use of residents of each home is available from PMC.)

Eastwood Village enjoys a graciously appointed club house, located at the east end of Two Mile Circle. Monthly social gatherings are organized by an active Social Committee. Meetings of the Board of Directors are held here. The Clubhouse is available at a moderate cost for private use by Residents for such events as wedding receptions, anniversary parties and family reunions.

Also available are various group activities, open to all EV residents. These have included at various times, bridge sessions, yoga classes, poker night. Specialevents may also be scheduled, such as shows or concerts. Villagers are encouraged to bring their ideas to the attention of the Social Chairman.

A frequent sight in Eastwood Village is the sight of Residents enjoying a brisk walk or a quiet stroll on the EV streets. Reportedly, one complete circuit of the Village, including all the cul-de-sacs, is a two mile route.

Also, along the Northern and Eastern perimeter there is a half-mile long wide grass common area adjacent to tree-lined Two Mile Branch that is maintained for walking and bird watching.

The Mayfaire, Landfall and Forum Shopping Centers are a one mile walk or bicycle ride, on sidewalks.

Eastwood Village has a pleasant picnic and grill area adjacent to the Clubhouse. Residents are free to use this area during th eday and early evening, without charge, for cookouts and family picnics.

The area may be used without a reservation, although if to be used by over 10 people please let the Recreation Director know in advance.

Lending Library

In the back hallway of the Clubhouse there is an honor system Lending Library. Help yourself to some good reading, return the books when done with them... and make a donation of surplus books! Your tennis court / pool key will admit you to the back hall way where the library is located.

Great Neighbors

Neighborhood Watch: Although not formally organized, neighbors cooperate with neighbors to watch for unexpected activities.

More than the usual amount of trash to get rid of this week? Ask a neighbor if you can put a bag or a bundle of cuttings out with their container.

The EV Directory:

A Directory of EV Residents is published annually by the HOA. A wonderful volunteer editor pulls together the latest names, phone numbers for each house. The Directory is distributed at the Annual Meeting in October.

New Residents can obtain a copy from PMC.

The EV Newsletter

The EV Newletter is published monthly by the HOA. A volunteer cadre writes, prints and distributes ths newletter door-to-door. Copies are mailed to out of town Homeowners. Typically the Board of Directors actions are summarized, upcoming social events are announced, new neighbors are introduced, and garden tips are provided. Upon occaision you will see a 'classified ad' listing a surplus item 'For Sale' by a neighbor.
