EASTWOOD VILLAGE BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESPONSIBILITIES

PRESIDENT Presides at members' and directors' meetings. Handles general and active management of business, according to by-laws, covenants and rules. Ex-officio member of all committees. Monitors performance of officers.

VP/TREASURER Monitors receipts and disbursements from reports generated by Property Manager and evaluates financial reports; reporting monthly to the Board. Prepares budget, Audits investments. Performs the duties of the President in the absence of the President.

ARCHITECTURE & ENGINEERING CHAIRPERSON: Oversees maintenance of EV common areas, clubhouse, streets, fences, lights and signs; common area engineering. Manages annual house painting contract. Coordinates response to Homeowner Request Forms involving roof replacement, architectural change. Coordinates with Landscaping Director(s) where appropriate.

LANDSCAPING CHAIRPERSON(S): Monitors Landscape contractors for grounds maintenance and plantings on both the common area and the front yards of individual properties; assures contract compliance. Works with Reviews and acts on Homeowner Request Forms involving landscaping. Coordinates with Director of Engineering on joint projects.

TENNIS COURT/POOL CHAIRPERSON: Responsible for resident use of and maintenance of the swimming pool and tennis courts.

DIRECTOR OF CLUBHOUSE CHAIRPERSON: Handles reservations for clubhouse rentals. Oversees maintenance and cleaning needs for clubhouse.

SECRETARY Keeps minutes of board and members meetings. Keeps register of residents to include addresses and phone numbers. Responsible for official EV correspondence with EV Homeowners

The Board sits a as Committee of the Whole for purposes of dealing with Architectural Approvals and Violation Assessments



SOCIAL CHAIRMEN: Coordinate activities of Social Committee, including arranging social gatherings and dinners. Provide editorial content for Newsletters and oversee newsletter publication and distribution.

LIBRARIAN Manages the lending library in the Clubhouse.

WELCOME LADY Welcomes newcomers and provides information about opportunities and daily living in EV.

PLEASE remember that it is NOT the obligation of Board Members to police the Village! If an Owner has a problem with a provided service, needs a fence repaired, or wishes to report a persistent violation of the Rules, they must make a written report to CAMS. Another option is to attend a Board meeting and speak up during the Homeowners' Forum which generally precedes the meeting.

However  residents ARE encouraged to immediately report to any Director any emergency situation - such as problems at night or on weekends at the Clubhouse or Pool.
