IN CASE OF EMERGENCY CALL 911
POLICE: For immediate response call 911. Eastwood Village is in the City of Wilmington and enjoys the protection of the Wilmington Police Department. For non-emergency business with the Wilmington Police Department call 341-4255
FIRE: In case of fire or life threatening emergency call 911. There are two fire stations of the Wilmington Fire Department nearby: one is one mile East on Military Cutoff and the other is 1.2 miles West on Eastwood Road. For non-emergency business with the Wilmington Fire Department call 341-7849.
POOL SIDE EMERGENCY: There is a telephone on the Clubhouse outside wall by the door into the restrooms that has an automatic dialer to 911. The 911 Operator will see a call from this phone as coming from Eastwood Village Poolside, at 1312 Two Mile Circle East. In a real bind for non-pool emergencies, for instance if because of a fire you cannot return to your house to make a phone call, you could use this phone to call 911.
HOSPITAL: The Cape Fear Hospital, now a unit of the New Hanover Regional Hospitals, is located 2.3 miles from Eastwood Village. The hospital has 24 hour emergency care facilities. Driving Directions: Exit Eastwood Village at the Eastwood Road signal light, cross onto Rogersville road, go 0.8 miles, turn right onto Wrightsville Road, go 1.5 miles, the hospital is on the right. Also in Wilmington: the New Hanover Regional Hospital on South 17th Street, equipped to handle major health emergencies.
AMBULANCE: For Emergency service call 911. There is a Dispatch station for ambulance service adjacent to Cape Fear Hospital.
 
ANIMAL CONTROL: Loose dog? Alligator in the pool? Rabid squirrel? Bats in the belfry? Snake in the grass? New Hanover County Animal Control handles these types of emergencies. Call 341-4197.
COMMUNITY WATCH: The Residents of Eastwood Village have organized a Community Watch Program. The strategy is simple: If something does not look right, call the Police Department (911) and they will check it out. Other strategies include keeping yard gates locked, garages and cars locked and always being aware of the surround.
